Microsoft Student Partners 2006-07 Click here for more pictures!! What a time we had in Seattle for this year's kickoff to the Microsoft Student Partner Program!!! This year is going to be better than ever before!!! There is a lot of changes that have taken place since last year and believe me, they're going to be great. We've got some great technology experiences for this semester including: Developing Tablet PC application Embedded development kits with Visual Studio Smart phone application development Game programming for the Xbox360 And much much more!!! We had a fantastic time in Seattle. Getting to know all of the other Student Partners from accross the US was excellent. All I can say is that if you miss the events held on campus this year, you'll be the one missing out on some great information, opportunities, and free stuff!!!
Not from ETSU? No problem, find you Student Partner here. Microsoft Student Ambassador (Partner) program changes!! As indicated in the title, the Microsoft Student Ambassador Program has now been changed to the Microsoft Student Partner Program. Along with that slight change, there are a lot more changes that I know you'll want to know about I've got a lot of updating to do to the site over the next several days to get everything caught up. There will be pictures from the recent MSP Orientation in Seattle on 8-12 & 8-13, so keep checking back for those updates!! In addition to site pictures, here's what else will be added: Detailed information that will be covered this year in the program. Scheduled dates/topics for presenatations The cool stuff we'll be doing this year PRIZES MAY INCLUDE: Let me just say that you don't want to miss it!!! So be sure to check back, I'll update everything ASAP!!!! Call for Competition Ok, so here's the deal. Ever wanted to come up with a cool application completely of your own idea? Sure ya have!!! Well, here's your chance to do that and maybe even get something from your production!!!! Depending on the number of applicants, we would like to sponsor a competition where applicants get to build whatever they want to build. Students from all departments and concentrations would be welcome to compete in the event. Considering that I've not had the opportunity to formalize all of this yet, please keep in mind that none of this is set in stone. But so far, I have considered these project constraints: The use of Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 (available through the MSDNAA). Top Level Requirements (Word or OneNote Document - Max 2 pages) Project Overview (Word or OneNote Document - Max 2 pages) PRIZES MAY INCLUDE: Microsoft Press Books of your choice XBox Games Microsoft Software including OneNote, Windows XP Professional, and more!!! The TLR and Overview Documentation does not need to contain Use Cases or Class Diagrams if you would like to exclude them. That's what I've came up with so far. So if this sounds like something you'd like to participate in, be sure to APPLY by email or contact us via the contact page. If you've got an idea about a competition that you'd like to be a part of or if you have any recommendations for this or future competitions, please email us or contact us with the information. We'd love to hear from ya!!!!! ETSU Visual Studio 2005 Launch Well, the launch has now passed, but the funs just begun!!!!
